The Korean Society of Disaster Information (KOSDI, www.sodi.or.kr) originated from Korean Committee of Disaster Information, founded in 1997 to enhance the level of quality of disaster information. The Korean Society of Disaster Medicine (KSDM) originated from Korean Association of Disaster and Emergency Care (KADEC) which was founded in February, 2007 to prepare for the Asian Pacific Conference of Disaster Medicine. KSDM started officially in 2010 and annual KSDM conferences have been performed ever since.

The purpose of the Taiwan Association of Disaster Prevention Industry (TADPI) is to engage and integrate the domestic and international disaster prevention related industry chain actively.
